We are pleased to welcome Joel Black as the new membership director of the Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce. Joel joined the Chamber staff in early March and formerly worked in marketing and business development for P. Joseph Lehman, Inc. He has also worked for the Bedford County Chamber of Commerce as well as the Pa. House of Representatives.

Joel received his undergraduate degree in communications from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and his MBA from Liberty University. Originally from Bedford, Pa., he moved to Chambersburg last year.

At the Chamber, Joel will oversee membership recruitment and retention initiatives as well as work closely with the Chamber Ambassadors to ensure member needs are met. He will also coordinate Chamber mixers, ribbon cuttings/grand openings, buy local initiatives, the annual golf tournament, new member orientations and other events.

In his free time, Joel enjoys spending time with his wife, Danielle, who is an elementary art teacher for the Chambersburg Area School District. His hobbies include golfing, reading, cooking and more. Ask him about live sporting events (especially the Pittsburgh Penguins), cooking or new recipes. He can be reached directly at 717-264-7101 ext. 202 or jblack@chambersburg.org.
