Check out Houck, one of our Chamber Member Spotlights for this month!
In 1947, Lawrence E. Houck started a small masonry contracting business that his son, Gary L. Houck, later took ownership of in 1980. Under Gary’s leadership, the company expanded their capabilities to include commercial, industrial and institutional masonry restoration, caulking/joint system repairs, waterproofing and protective coatings, concrete rehabilitation, flooring, roofing and roof maintenance.
Houck offers a wide variety of roofing systems, including EPDM, TPO, single-ply, built-up, modified, garden and patio systems, metal, copper, slate and shingles. They also offer structural and architectural metal applications and have their own in-house metal fabrication shop.
In addition to historic and preservation work, Houck also offers sealant and joint system repairs, building cleaning systems and waterproofing coating systems. Their restoration craftspeople blend their knowledge of historic methodology with new technology to give old structures new life.
Houck has been honored with many local and national awards over the years for their craftsmanship, commitment to safety and their contributions to the industry and community.
The culture of “Safety First” is fundamental to their success. Houck makes a continual, conscientious effort to protect their team and maintain a safe environment for all involved.
