Ribbon Cutting: The Shook Home Rehabilitation & Wellness Center

Congrats to The Shook Home for the grand opening of their new Rehabilitation and Wellness Center! They celebrated with many community leaders and Shook Home residents at a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, September 22. Guests got to tour the new facility while enjoying delicious food from Main Street Deli and Catering. Great things are happening with revitalization projects in Downtown Chambersburg!

The Shook Home, a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), has been serving the elders of Greater Chambersburg since 1918. As a CCRC, the Shook Home provides Skilled Nursing, Personal Care, and Residential Living in a relaxed atmosphere located near retailers, eateries, physicians’ offices and medical centers.

The 12,000 square foot rehabilitation & wellness center is three stories tall. The new building will enable therapists to treat a higher volume of residents in an enhanced therapeutic environment. It will also provide a venue for new service lines, such as out-patient physical, occupational, and speech therapies as well as aquatic therapy.
