11/30 Network Partners with Penn State Mont Alto for Career Closet

The 11/30 Network, Franklin County's young professionals group, collected more than 300 articles of professional clothing since hosting its Business Fashion Show in June. With a goal to provide these donations to young professional beginning their careers, the 11/30 Network partnered with Penn State Mont Alto Career Services to support a Career Closet for their students.

The Career Closet opened on November 1 with a ribbon cutting ceremony (view photos here). Through November 3, PSUMA students may select three pieces of clothing from the Career Closet at no charge in order to build their professional wardrobe.

There is a photo contest for students who post a photo of themselves in their new professional wear to the PSUMA Career Services page on Facebook. They're also hosting a Sewing Survival Instruction for students on November 3 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. to teach sewing buttons and hemming clothing.

The 11/30 Network is an initiative of the Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce which focuses on providing social, civic and professional development opportunities for young professionals in Franklin County. The success of the 11/30 Network will demonstrate the transformational potential of a community where young professionals thrive – both in their careers and personal lives.
