Chambersburg Winter Wonderland: Part 2

by Bethany Edwards, Intern, Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce

In my first post, we talked about how much fun Small Business Saturday and the Christmas Parade is. Now it’s time to put the spotlight on some other winter activities sure to entertain, because there is never enough. These activities are definitely fun for the whole family and, since Christmas is right around the corner, the spirit of the holidays is sure to be in everyone’s heart.

Downtown Christmas2nd Annual Cocoa Crawl

Friday, December 4, 2015 from 6-8 p.m.
The 2nd Annual Cocoa Crawl, hosted by the Downtown Business Council, is one event you won’t want to miss. Chilly weather warmed up with lots of hot cocoa is a recipe for fun. All you have to do is buy a 2015 Cocoa Crawl mug for $5 (make sure you get there early because there are only 175 mugs available!). Once you buy your mug, you are free to shop around at your favorite downtown stores and try their very own, homemade hot cocoa recipe.

After you are filled up on all the yummy hot chocolate you can vote on your absolute favorite with the ballot given to you upon purchase of your mug. By voting, your name will automatically be entered to win a $100 dollar gift certificate that can be used at a participating downtown business.

This year the competition is going to be high with a variety of merchants trying to beat the reigning winner of favorite hot cocoa, The Gift Enclosure. I don’t think The Gift Enclosure will go down without a fight!
